Greenwich, Conn.— Peacock Manufacturing, based here, produces high-end cabinetry for the luxury market. The company purchases over 200,000 board feet annually of Walnut, quartersawn White Oak and Soft Maple.

Value-added services include standard 1-inch thick drawer fronts, doors and frames, veneer core box construction, Blum tandem runners and proprietary signature hardware.

Christopher Peacock began his career with the installation of a cabinetry display in a local interior design boutique, which launched his career in 1992.

That same room vignette in Greenwich drew the attention of architects, designers and discerning clientele. Twenty years later, the start-up design and cabinetry company has reached further than anyone could have imagined.

According to Creative Director and Vice President of Communications Lane Brooks, Peacock has not only been a conscientious and sophisticated predictor of the spirit of his time, but also a designer who has forged new ground. “Quite simply, he’s a visionary in his field,” Brooks explained. “The search for sophisticated finishes, an insister of excellent service and top quality, together with his lively, insatiable curiosity and an innate, constant quest for innovation and that vision, has been the starting point for his creations, which have been made exclusively in his workshop in America. Our clientele adore putting their trust in us. We create excitement and leave even the most loyal trade and retail patrons wondering what we’ll do next. With our showrooms, we’re building on that sense of discovery by offering our guests a chance to experience one-of-a-kind, heirloom quality collections that are custom-designed to exceed every want and need.”

Unique in its approach to the marketplace, Peacock Mfg. is driven by a desire to create the most beautiful and lasting designs and products.
Christopher Peacock, president and chief executive officer of Peacock Manufacturing said, “When I started 20 years ago I just wanted a way to support my family and create timeless, beautiful and quality cabinetry. When I look back on what we have accomplished – and I say we because I certainly could not have achieved what we have accomplished by myself – I’m astounded,” said Peacock.

“Our gallery-like showrooms in Greenwich, Chicago, San Francisco, and Boston, with design associates in Dallas and Atlanta, offer a remarkable way to purchase a kitchen, bathroom, library, study and so on," Peacock continued. “Rather than just seeing little vignettes and door samples, our clientele learn and experience the situations that will actually exist in their rooms, in their homes, and how their lives will function. They feel the space. Also, I’m happy to say, that I started a paint company, Christopher Peacock Paint nearly four years ago. Most people are surprised to know that our painted cabinetry is finished on site; so, it’s imperative to have a superior product to work with our special finish method and I could not find one."

The company philosophy has always been to produce handcrafted cabinetry of the highest quality, using the finest materials and offering an unparalleled level of professional service to its clientele. The success is shared by management and craftsmen equally. Unique in its approach to the marketplace, the company is driven by a youthful enthusiasm and a fervent desire to create the most beautiful and lasting designs and products. There is a dedicated partnership between the management, the design teams, and the master carpenters and decorative artists who stake their reputations and take great pride in the brand.

Peacock’s philosophy is to produce handcrafted cabinetry of the highest quality, using the finest materials and offering an unparalleled level of professional service to its clientele.
The classic elegance that has become the mark of Peacock’s work has allowed the company some special opportunities. Christopher has been invited to take part in the New York City Kips Bay show house on three occasions and has participated in the most prestigious designer show houses across the United States. He has appeared on national television and has been featured in many national newspapers as well as having his work regularly published. His portfolio of work includes numerous projects for many high profile clients, from the world of arts, sports, and business. Included in this list are nine rooms of cabinetry designed for President William Jefferson Clinton, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at their Chappaqua, N.Y., private residence as well as five galley kitchens on the largest yacht built in North America: Cakewalk.

Other notable clients include: Bernie Taupin, Elton John’s lyricist; Donald Trump, real estate mogul; Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner; Mariah Carey, entertainer; Isaiah Thomas, coach and former basketball player; and David Cone, pitcher N.Y. Yankees.

“Christopher Peacock has always been a ground breaker. He’s pleased to debut his highly anticipated collection titled, “Culinarium,” to celebrate his 20th year in business,” Brooks informed. “The Culinarium Collection is a nod to the colors, style and the romantic countryside of Denmark, The Netherlands and Flanders. The collection exemplifies the ultimate in luxury and quality.”

Value-added services include standard 1-inch thick drawer fronts, doors and frames, veneer core box construction, Blum tandem runners and proprietary signature hardware.
“Culinarium is an important part of our global luxury strategy,” Peacock explained. “I’ve chosen a blend of painted cabinetry and hand-selected quartersawn White Oak to exist together in a room. Culinarium takes on a more traditional feel as I’ve chosen to use cladding on the end panels in the room and I’ve made the door stiles and rails wider. There is a chunkiness to the entire collection, including the rounded hutch.”

Specializing in fitted furniture, interior paint products and spectacular hardware, Peacock’s work has included many of the world’s most luxurious private estates across the globe. Commissioned by a discerning clientele, he is renowned for quality, elegant design, and attention to every detail.

With showrooms in Greenwich, Chicago, Boston, and San Francisco, and representation through a select group of design associates, his products have been manufactured exclusively in the United States. Every room of cabinetry is made to order and specifically detailed for the individual client. Using only the finest materials, his team of craftsmen fashion raw timbers into cabinetry suited for every room in the home. From kitchens to libraries, to spectacular bathrooms, Christopher Peacock remains the benchmark of taste and understated elegance.
